In my opinion, most small business ideas are not gender specific. For example, there are a large number of both men and women in businesses like catering, photography, graphic design, public relations, real estate, and many others.
On the other hand, I’d make an educated guess that the landscaping and construction industries consist primarily of men, while daycare businesses and yoga studios are mostly run by women. There are probably more female wedding planners and interior decorators than males, but the gender gap may be much narrower than I think.
There is a handful of industries and professions that will probably continue to be either male- or female-dominated for the foreseeable future, but there are also countless other businesses in which gender is not a factor.
25 Business Ideas for Women
Since you’re searching the Web for actionable ideas for starting your own business, here’s a list of 25 good small business ideas worth considering. The good news (and bad news) about starting your own business is that there are literally hundreds of possibilities to choose from!

Note: Since all business ideas entail a degree of financial risk, it’s generally wise to proceed with caution when deciding on, launching, or expanding a new business. It’s always advisable to consult with an experienced CPA, business insurance advisor, and attorney when setting up a new business. FYI: Additional business startup advice, educational programs, and mentoring can be found through websites and organizations like SCORE and the U.S.Small Business Administration.
